Take your hiking boots and embark on this Inca trail adventure. In 2002, the Peruvian government decreed that it would no longer be possible to go on an excursion to Machu Picchu without a license or a registered operator. And since then, the demand for these licenses has been quite intense, since only 500 people per day can make the Inca trail.
So, if you want to see the sunrise over the Lost City this year, here is everything you need to know:

How do I get my license?
Through the Inca Trail or Inca Trail Express tour of our themed tours. We'll take care of everything so you don't have to worry about the details. When you arrive at the Inca Trail, your guide will have your license waiting for you. It's super easy!
How far in advance should I make a reservation?
It depends on when you want to go. We recommend a minimum of 10 weeks for the low season and 24 weeks for the high season so that the permit can arrive on time.
How much?
You can save your wallet: the cost of the license is included in the price of the script! :)
Can I make the path alone?
No. Unfortunately, it is no longer allowed to make the path on your own.

What do I need to drink?
In addition to the compulsory license that will be delivered on the trip, it is also necessary to carry an identity document, such as a passport. We also recommend the basic trail equipment that includes:
- Comfortable sports shoes. It gives preference to the boots since they protect the ankles, avoiding typical injuries of walking on uneven terrain.
- Sports socks: always wear an extra pair in case it gets wet.
- Repellent
- Sunscreen.
- Polarized sunglasses.
- Raincoat or poncho.
- Hat or cap.
- A good bottle of water.
